From 21 to 29 of May 2019, there was a "FIDE 3.4 Zone Championship of Central Asian countries" among men and women at the International Chess Academy in Tashkent.

In the women's championship, the first place was taken by Yakubbaeva Nilufar (Uzbekistan), the second place - Tohirjonova Gulrukhbegim (Uzbekistan) and Assaubaeva Bibisara got the third place (Kazakhstan).

In the championship among men, the first two places were shared by grandmaster Zhumabaev Rinat (Kazakhstan) and 17th world champion Kasydmzhanov Rustam (Uzbekistan). One of the youngest grandmasters in the world Abdusattor Nodirbek (Uzbekistan) took third place.

Chess players from Uzbekistan Yakubbaeva Nilufar and Kasydmzhanov Rustam won two tickets to the World Cup. They also won the title of the best team in the championship.
